I've post this question for a friend of mine...because I'm not familiar with LS. Can anyone help out?!

Q:
In Lightwave Lscript, there seems no way to directly type-in the full channel-name to locate a specific channel I need, I have to use something such as (firstCnsnnel,nextChannel), to locate the channel, for example:

while(channel_name != name)
{
chtar=group.nextChannel();
channel_name=chtar.name;
}

The same situation happens in finding the bone object:

while(hubone.name != name)
{
hubone=hubone.next();//get target bone name
}

But I feel this is tedious, is there a better way?

Thanks a lot!

when i remember correctly, there was a period system.

But to use named object you must use something like this:

@version 2.0
@warnings
@script generic

windName = "wind";

generic
{

object1 = Mesh ("Bone05");

SelectItem(object1.id);
}
