I know the manual is a good source of information, however I want some books to supplement learning for lighting, animation and etc. Thanks

Check Amazon, do a search for Lightwave......
There are plenty, it depends on what you want from them...

Best Overall books are "Inside Lightwave" series.....

They are generally a must have, for beginner or advanced...
But there are plenty of others...

Also keep an eye out for Jonny's (AKA Kretins) upcoming book,
in which you will find some great Modeling and Surfacing stuff...

Timothy Albee's book on the making of Kaze: Ghost Warrior is out now. I just got my copy.

www.wordware.com/ghostwarrior is the site for more info. AFAIK it should be available at most bookstores & Amazon by now.
