View Full Version : Particle events - ability to map to nulls?

I'm looking for a way to track particle events (e.g. collisions) to allow me to write expressions in connection with them, but there really doesn't seem to be a way to do this. Am I missing something or is this totally impossible with 7.5's PFX?

There doesn't seem to be any real way to directly influence particles or their interactions. I'd like to be able to hook up objects via FXLinker and have morph cycles change in response to velocity or heading changes (e.g. cars colliding, people avoiding each other, basic automata). If this isn't available at a scene level, is this data available via the LW SDK (in which case I'll see what I can do about writing up a plugin to handle this).

Any info / pointers / examples / comments would be welcome.
