If you have a walk cycle (or any repeated movement) for x frames and you wish to repeat that cycle over and over (e.g. have character walk for many frames) what is the best way to do this.

Is motion mixer the best way?

I'm VERY NEW have only done the SIMPLEST animations
:)

Thanks for your help.

If all your character is going to do is walk, you can select your objects' motion curves in the graph editor and set their 'Post Behaviour' to repeat or 'offset repeat'. Repeat just makes the curve repeat, offset repeat adds the end frame to all the frames following it. For example, if something wants to do the exact same motion again and again, use repeat. If you want something to continue on from it's last position and extend it's movement in the same manner as before, use offset repeat.

On the other hand, motion mixer is much more flexible, as you can stretch and loop and mix your walk with, say, a jump animation. I would go with motion mixer once you've tried it with some simple stuff, as it can be a bit complex to first get to grips with.
