I just bought an ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro Card yesterday. I'm having problems with the install... downloaded some of the drivers from ati.com and then realized that some of them require Direct X9b.. I have Direct X9a... Anyways, downloaded 9b from Microsoft and after running through it got the following error... after hitting ok, it went on and looked like it completed... Should I be concerned. Running DXDIAG shows that I still have 9.0a... Is it possible to go around this error somehow and manually install or something?

It looks like you are trying to install the SDK? If you just want DX runtime make sure you are installing just that and not the full DX SDK.

skip the sdk (software dev. kit). i seem to remember windows update will list directx updates as well, so maybe you can find it there. otherwise look here;

Nope you actaully have to go to the DirectX site to download the SDK.

Yes you do have to go to microsoft to download the sdk but I think all meshmaster wanted/needed was just the DX runtime and not the full SDK.
