I posted an in-progress shot of this in the WIP forum. Since then, I fixed the shadowing problem and finished up adding a bit more detail. (Like the darkened "getter" flash.) Overall, I'm real pleased with this picture. I'd like to hear what people think; Does it look like a few vacuum tubes, strewn across a table?

Yes they do.
Didn't they have there number & manufacturer written on the glass tube?

I wouldnt call it an era past though...

Tubes are being used more and more as the "quality Altenitive" to digital..ie. in amps for stereos, guitar amps and effects..and as far as im aware the military are using them in spy craft.

So there not gone yet!!!

Does anyone remember those tube testers that some stores had? My dad used to take me with him when he went to buy tubes for his Fender Amps. There were these 'kiosks' with panels with an array of sockets for different tubes so you can see if your vac tube was ok or not.
