The Audio playback of QT files on the VT[x] workstation is all messed up. Sort of like a bad multiple echo.

Any explanation as to why this happens?

Audio for WMV files in Media Player are fine.

QT works just great here - no sound issues. Do you have an additional audio card in your PC or just VT[3]?

I agree with taiji

This has been a problem with my Dell and my Tyan.

I have had this problem since t2.

I use QT less than ever.

I ahve given up on the issue.

QT used to be a big thang. Personally, I think windows media video files and thing they look better, as smaller, and do not produce a demonic echo when going thru my t3.

But, the good side of QT DV flavored .mov files, is that you can change the .mov to .avi and the t3 is fooled into thinking it is not a QT file and you are off to edit. this will not work for all QT files in the t3, but for DV, it is.

Ahhh, that was it. I hadn't disabled the MOB's onboard audio!

Thanks!
