Does BoneFuse work on more than two bones? Just curious....

Very cool stuff, either way. :D

Just 2 at a time right now.

Maybe an LScript should do the trick:
fuse 1 with 2
then fuse the resulting bone with 3
and gon on until all selected bones are fused!

Bye.

Either that or the next version.

Proton,

When you used BoneTwist, the forearm bone didn't seem to inherit any gimble stuff from the upper arm bone. Is this because you were edting in Quarternion mode? I prefer not to use Quarternion because I find it more complex to edit them in a graph editor. If you were using regular ol Euler and you did that twist, what would happen?

The bonetwist feature is going to be very useful. It's funny but just this morning I was rigging a character and that tool would have saved me lots of time. Lightwave 8 is looking better with every video released.

LW does not use Quarternions. At all.
Bone Twist rotates the bones bank to move the pitch where you want it. It works on the edited bones local coords and leaves the other bones (parent and child) untouched.

I thought Quarternion was in LW8.

Nope not in LW 8. That link talks about IK Booster. IK Booster is a great tool and very powerfull but is separate from the LW IK system. So in 8 you have regular IK and IK Booster. The name may be a little missleading to some. But it uses its own system to solve.

IK Booster has that option....

Peter, it's really good to see a dev on these boards. Also, your bone tools are amazing, keep it up! :)

Those extra spaces in there were confusing my browser. Here they are again with them removed in case anyone else is suffering :)

Peter, you should tell all of the Devs to come on the board and boast about their favourite feature that they've added to lightwave 8. That's somethign I'd like to read :p

Get Bob on here too because he needs a break after his promotion :p

Well, you will be able to invoke the tools from Lscript but not the paticular commands associated internally.
The Import/Export function has an SDK so end users will be able to do a lot with the rig files. I would assume eventually Lscripts would have access to those and perhaps the rest of the bone tools. But I'm not sure when.

LOL! Bob needless to say is VERY busy man!
I'll bug (no pun intended) a few of the other dev peeps to jump in.
No promises though. :D
