Hi Guys,

I might be being a muppet on this one, but I would appreciate if someone could help me on this.

I have a video array of 4X80GB U320s but I have a series of other High capacity IDEs that I shift files onto from time to time when I want to free up space on my video array.

I have a series of projects that require a 130GB rtv that I have moved off my V drive - and a client is asking for a re-render with a new intro graphic on the front. Easy, but when I go into the Toaster project the rtv file is boardered in red because I have moved it to a different drive. To move it back will take lots of time and I havn't the space on my video array right now. The IDE is fast enough to deliver the stream for editing.

How do I get the toaster projects croutons to see the file I have moved?

Regards

Bob

If you have VT3, the Spread Sheet is designed for just such a task. If you don't have VT3, you could... get VT3 :)

The spreadsheet.
Tab next to Storyboard/Filebin.
Displays file attributes of project clips.
Change the shown path of your missing clip to point
to where it is now.

you can also just navigate to that directory in the filebin.
Grab the clip where it is now, hold down ALT to maintain attrib.
then drop over the red bordered rtv.

In the Spreadsheet you can multiselect and change a group at once. You can change the Drive or Path or File Name, etc. by right clicking a Column. See below the list available:
