I am currently using 6.5 and I appreciate that this problem has certainly been resolved already in newer versions.

However, my employer's too cheap to upgrade right now and I was wondering if anyone knows if there's some kind of fix to the following problem.

When rendering radiosity, 6.5 tends to apply weird bump procedurals to what should be smooth, fonged surfaces with no maps or procedurals selected.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Is there a patch?

I really like what radiosity can do for an image and I hate to do without it.:(

Can you post an example? What's it like with Monte Carlo + Shading Noise Reduction instead of Interpolated?
