Ok I may have a job coming up in the near future that would be really useful if I can scan the orginal objects in 3D. In the LOTR DVD's they use scanners from the meat packing industry any one here have any experience of this, any uk supplyers any one knows etc?

The models will be eventually imputed into Lightwave for clean up and animating.
BTW I know there are bits of kit that do this designed for this job (just flick through Cinefx) but these are WAY over my budget

any help would make me a happy llarma :D

Please let us know how it works if you try it (Canon software). It looks promising.
