Is that a way via the vmap to find out what bone is using it
or what bone it is applied to

better put what weight map a bone is using

that is an excellent question, to which i've never seen any possible way in lscript to accomplish (not that i've ever tried). but judging from what i know of the bone object agent, there is no direct of doing it. maybe i am wrong. but in the event that i am right, it _may_ be possible to acquire this information directly by accessing the scene file.

hmm well my solution has been to just make sure my weightmap names and bones match exactlly then do a compare of the names
and bingo match but still it puts some limitations on the naming and it is kinda of a sloppy work around

but yea there needs to be some way to get that info direct

well looking at teh lscript commander there is a command to set the bone weightmap but there doesnt seem a way to get that info

but i did notice that it is listed in the scene file so maybe reading it from there
