View Full Version : Simple way to save an object and all it's children to one .lwo?

Help! Oh, help!

I have a LightWave scene with a rather complex hierarchy of the bits of an assembly (which are all indivuidual .lwo files) parented to nulls, which are then parented together into the larger object. (See a grab from my Scene Editor below.) I would like to consolidate many of these sub-objects into just one object file. Is there an easy way to do this? (Like a plug-in?) I'd really rather not have to load all of the sub-bits into Modeler and combine them by hand. I'm looking for something "auto-magical." Any hints?

Thanks in advance!

Try here.

Also, if you find something you need, try looking on flay.com first. It'll usually turn something up :)

Thanks for the link. NSObjectMerge would be perfect, except it it's Intel only. Same for ModelMerger. Bummer. I've actually found a way to work around the problem with PolyTrans.

Cool :)

I tried NSobject myself, but I couldn't get it to work! Doh! Must be an easier way... Maybe I should write a script!
