hey,

I'm new with LW, I use it to model designs for school.
My question is: I mapped a picture on a single poly surface but
i can only see the half of the picture, i scalled it down and the other half of the picture fades out in black strips. The picture is a jpg made in Photoshop. Somebody knows answer?

Are you using a UV Map?

The bars on the right look like it's hit the edge of the projection, but since the polygon appears flat I can't explain that unless you're using a UV map.

Can you show us a wireframe view? That might help me understand...

i can't uploap a picture right now, problems with the firewall in the building.

The way i mapped the pictures: in suface-> color (T) and there i loaded the picture i made for it.
I 'll try to upload a wireframe as fast as possible.

What kind of projection? Z-axis? Cubic?

Give it another shot...

get the proportions of the picture in whatever program you are using (even windows paint).

Create a poly to those proportions
(ex. if your picture is 640 x 480 pixels, make a 64 x 48 poly, doesn't matter if it's meters or feet or whatever.)

Bring your picture in again (using the Color Texture button), and hit the "Automatic Sizing" button.

Do a render, you should have it.

If the picture is a .jpg, it may have gotten trashed. Save it out as a bitmap or another format, and try putting it in again.
