View Full Version : MotionMixer - Okay to Leave Unused Motions?

Hi All,

I'm doing a lot of small animations where characters are talking. A curve from MagpiePro drives the lipsynch morphs. I'm using MotionMixer to add the facial movements like raised eyelids, blinks, squints and what have you. Since a lot of this is repetitive, I've found it easier to just go from one scene to the other and re-use a lot of the same motions in a slightly different order each time.

I've also been dragging motions to the right and outside of the render frame range when not using them. Does leaving them in MotionMixer cause Screamernet to run any slower? Is it checking on those unused motions outside the render frame range?
