Hi everybody.... ;)

Here my latest work. It's a car that I will use for a short movie.

I didn't use GI or HDRI.

And the wire:

What you think?

Thanks

I've always loved this car. I remember seeing them drive around back in the 60s. Great job!

it looks really great,

I do have a few questions, I noticed that the amount of polys you used to model the tires (and the car is general) is quite low. How do you make the tires look so perfectly round while using this amount of polys. If I make tires and use a similar amount of polys and then subpatch it, it comes out far more edgy.
whats the trick?

again: the car looks awesome

Thanks all guys :D

Dear "Baffero", it's true I ty to use low number of polys as possible.... for the tires it's simple....in the layout you can choose in the property panel of the objects the amount of subpatch level (default it's 3) and I've 6 level for the tires :D

Thanks
regards

Massimo

An excellent model, great textures. I think it shows the most elegant low poly modelling technique that I've ever seen.

Thank you for posting it.

opendesigner,

Ive tried your tip.

modeled something like a tire, with as lowpolycount as possible,

http://www.student.tue.nl/H/B.A.F.Lenssen/untitled-1%20copy.jpg

then I subpatched it:

http://www.student.tue.nl/H/B.A.F.Lenssen/untitled-2%20copy.jpg

and rendered it with the subpatch setting set to 6 in lay-out.
The result is good, but the little squares still bother me......

Very very cute model :). IT's great render also but i would like to see more detailes on tyres (tyre treads, tyre side walls etc...).

Good to see that wierd car modeled :).

Thanks All!!!

Dear Lewis for tires you're in right but for my short I would like to have a cartoonish photoreal stile so I didn't think that in it there will be any details.
But with the response that I had in various forum I decided to make a rendering more photoreal (and of course with more detail on tires) and I hope to show you all as soon as possible.... ;)

Thanks again

Massimo

Massimo,

I need a particular Auto done for an Architectural rendering so e-mail me and let me know what you might charge. Oh ya it has to be done in a little over 2 weeks by the end of January. The Auto is a Bentley but will let you know what model if you drop me a line -

P.S. I like your poly count and level of detail and I think that is about what I would want on my project perhaps a little more if needed.

Yes I am willing and able to pay so let me know what it would cost me.
