i would like to setup NevronMotion with Lightwave 2019.1.3.
NevronMotion needs Win 7.
It is possible to use NevronMotion in a VM (CPU is an I7 4790)
or it is better to build a bootable USB Stick

Im sorry for my bad speech, hope you understand my question. :-)

Thanks for your help and
Best regards, from cologne/ germany

Hi Kievi,

NevronMotion is a plugin for LightWave 11.6 and up. So as long as your version of LightWave is any of the versions after 11.5 you should be able to use it provided you have Win 7, Win 8 or Win 10.

Hi Shabazzy,
Thanks for your answer. But im wondering.I do not know now where I read that, but somewhere stood that Kinect with win10 has big problems. And therefore also Nevronmotion.

I made a short test with win 10, Kinect 2.0 and i cant activate NevronMotion in the Lightwave device Manager. There is no entry. So, you have a Setup with Win 10?
Another sorry for my english!

Hi Kievi,

Yes, I have successfully used my Kinect for Windows v2 with NevronMotion 1.1 in LW 2019.0.3 running under Windows 10.

With this setup, the Virtual Studio device manager does not have any settings for the Kinect XBOX ONE entry or sub entries. There was supposed to be an update to fix that, but we're still waiting as far as I know.

You might want to check out GreenLaw's excellent tutorial on how to set up NevronMotion to work the Kinect for Windows v2 under Win 10 in LW 2015 (https://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php/148971-Setting-up-Kinect-One-for-NevronMotion-in-LightWave-2015?highlight=kinect+2+nevron). It still works for 2019 though.
