Isn't there a new free matching software?

Ah, yes that's what I was thinking of.
There is a demo, which is free, but the soft itself is $349 USD.

Thanks!

If you upgrade to Lightwave 8 you'll get DFX and it has match moving in it so it's essiantially free with your upgrade. Of course, if you're on a mac, that might not be much help.

But syntheyes is 3d matching, not 2d.
And it creates Lightwave 3d data, does it not?

Yes, it recreates your live action camera movement in your favorite 3d app(lw). Example of use: Place people/objects on a chromakey screen, move your real camera around however you like, track that motion in syntheyes, create a 3d set of your choice and use the motion data from syntheyes on the LW camera, render out your animation then just key out your green screen and composite your live action objects onto the 3d animation sequence. Now you have your live action object placed into your 3d scene.

I own syntheyes and have to say it is a breakthrough in price/performance. I have used $5,000 matchmovers and this does just as good of a job. It does both manual and fully auto tracking as well.
