Working on this bag rendering and I'm getting these weird polys. It's UV-mapped but the model looked strange even before I applied art. I'm assuming it has something to do with the form doubling back on its self but I need that to make the gusset. Is there a way to fix this?

Hard to tell from just an image. If you can drop the lwo i'll take a look.

It looks like an issue of non-planar polys (try triangulating or just adjusting co-planarity some other way) spreading down that curved right edge towards the bottom.

I run into this sort of thing semi often bringing assets over from Daz.

In Modeler, select those polys & look at them with the UV viewport. That generally reveals any number of sins. Have a Double Vertical layout set up with UV on one side & a Textured Wire in the other, probably in Perspective. It may be just a simple matter of moving a few points in UV viewport & watching the results.

Figured this out. I rebuilt the model to get rid of severely non-planar polys. I also had a mapping issue that was caused by a morph map from a previous iteration of the model
