Edit. Story mentions a good de-lighter feature, maybe better quality freebie this time?

Not in the listīs above..

https://open3dmodel.com/ al lot of free models, lots of game character models, vehicles etc..can be searched with lwo, and obj filters..many of the cooler ones 3d max formats though, but a lot of others in obj format for simple people etc.

https://archive3d.net also some free models...as the above link, the site doesnīt require account login, just download the files you want, keep track of where they came from etc.

Paint3D in Windows 10 has a 3D model library that is about to be shut down in 2020. Download what you need now.
Open in Paint3D and export to FBX.

Thanks for the warning on that one, then I must browse around a bit and see whatīs there and get what I find is interesting, I recall my first loading of a model from there quite a while ago...

However, downloading Remix 3D models is only possible if you have the Paint 3D app, which is available for Windows 10 users only. You can download and upload models through the app itself or use the Remix 3D website.

One day when I have gathered enough stamina to endure the long rendertime in VPR, but checking the fastest fur render between Blender and Lightwave in on the schedule.
otherwise open paint3d and furthest away to the right you should have library icon click on that and surch for monkey..there are a few of those, then try fiberfx yourself.

These days ...following the trends, one should put fur on to a little lion cub I guess, couldnīt find any zimba look alike, but the grown up lions are there.
Check circle of life, one scenefile with dog, cat, rat, male lion and a lepard., scale the root up to 1000 since they are very smal in fbxl compared to lw format.

The heatwave over europe is hitting us these upcoming days, so I will try and jump in to bed within a couple of minutes before it will be to hot to sleep, I had the option of borrowing a portable airconditioner from my sister today
but I thought it will only be a couple of days, then I will be having the machine standing in my way mostly, so a fan and some bottles of water in the fridge..that should do fine.

Ps..donīt forget that you can paint a bit with paint3D as well, save it out as fbx and the color paint is following through nicely with the fbx file, while inside paint3D, you can erase the painted layer and the original texture is intact as well, if you use decals, you can drag textures decals on to the object and it projects in 3d on to the object.

Yep, it isn't too bad at night though, keep the door open, try it. At least over here the Hot wave only kicks in at daytime.

--- airconditioner ---
Think i'm about to get one myself. I don't think those 30+C temperatures are gonna go away any time soon.
so aircondition... Next year maybe.

seriously, it helps big time.

And don't drink cold drinks, the body heats up to try to compensate. https://i.imgur.com/uVY2fVj.gif

that was a bit of news to me, so just normal body heat tempered water then?...that will be hard since I always have at least four bottles of cold water in the refrigerator, and drinks constantly..that comes at the cost of passing water at night five times at least.

I Always have the balcony door open in the summer at night, but at 6-7 in the moring it will be to warm outside and you would need to close it, along with open windows so the heat doesnīt come in.
Well I have some blankets stashed in the freezer for some hour now..and gonna put that on my pillows for a while now.

yes, a former colleague said that all they drank in the hot engine rooms onboard ships was room-temperature water.

i use a long thread / string to close the door before falling asleep.  ...yes, true story.

I tested these 24 free brushes, always nice to get some..but I didnīt see them as much interesting, a bit of too much of noisy brushes probably useful for extreme ground dirt etc, for larger rock or cliff sculpting I didnīt see any real good ones.
So mostly for noisy ground, but you can do that by internail noise procedurals mostly or whip something up yourself with a painting tool.

I havenīt downloaded the HDRs yet.

True, though there is a rather high level of correlation between the two.
