Once you get into LightWave, one of the things I love about it is the infinite possibilities of what you can create. Some things are truly artistic and some times things can just happen by accident. Any way, this is just a couple of the things I've been enjoying using procedurals and volumetrics.

Thanks for sharing all these cool pieces.

I am a strong believer in people creating their own original art whatever that may be. It is hard to be objective about one's own work, but I often ask myself when I do something, "Would I want that on my living room wall?" and if the answer is Yes, I proceed. But still, I respect that everyone has different tastes when it comes to art. But that is what art is supposed to be. A little disruptive, not from this world, but from someone's imagination.

Not a procedural, but something abstract...

10 SubD cubes, one flat plane, and 1.5 hours of rendering (It's 3840 x 1200, 8 AA passes, and volumetric scattering).
One of my favorite desktop wallpapers.

3dhotshot, great waterfall... What did emitters 3 and 4 offer when turned on?

Kryslin, love the bold full colours. Looks great also.

I don't get much time these days for 3D but... I set aside a day with an idea for a minimal colour abstract image... Just got it rendering. Here is the progress...

Used Realflow 2013 for the liquid parts... LW2019 for rendering.

The elapsed time is deceiving, I got this error message that I had to click ok before it would render... I was out of the room for over an hour before I clicked on it, not realising..

145199 Maybe a realflow mesh sequence error? Anyone had this?

you can for instance use hvīsprites on an objects vertices, you would probably like to have an object you can use increase subpatches on to get more fuller lines with many vertices to provide a continues edge line of the object once the hvīs are applied.
Then drive some animated growing with weightmaps or null referenced item.

you can also apply particles on any objects vertices and set it to emitt based on vertices, object line etc and it will start to seem to grow based on point index creation of the object itself.

Conīs with this method bot particle and vertices based hvīs, you will almost always get gaps between areas where the object doesnīt have enough points.

I would recommend sticking to Ligthtwave 2015 while doing this kind of stuff, so you donīt have to wrestle with the Hidden legacy hypervoxels, unless you have created a UI setup of your own to acess it better.
