I have rigged this Superman figure for a short animation clip... the UV maps were already included on the model..
Now the problem comes when I render it, the textures are appearing very washed out and the model apart from the cape. Appears almost white...
What would be the issue causing this?

I'm just guessing, but it may be that the Surfaces that came with the model have a specularity, which with the new rendering engine in LW2018 & LW2019 may "reflect" the environment very highly. For example, if you're using the default Gradient Backdrop, the colors would wash out badly.

You could try turning off Global Illumination (CTRL-p to get Render Properties, the GI tab), lower the GI percentage quite a bit (I usually turn it down to 20% or so), or reduce the Specularity on the surfaces to 0.0.

I don't know why the model would be apart from the cape.
