View Full Version : This sudden urge to embrace all things "VIZRT" ...

Funny thing happened at lunch yesterday:

I arrive at my favourite curry chicken fast food outlet - I'm not happy about VIZRT. I order my most favourite of favourites plus a coke - still not happy about the whole VIZRT thing! I swipe the CC across the reader with force - clearly not a happy camper regards VIZRT at all!

But then I'm handed the receipt - gotta check the order number to make sure "the next guy / dude-ess" doesn't swipe my most favourite of favourites plus a coke meal - and right there everything changes. Suddenly VIZRT is my "favourite of favourites," even without a coke.

Go figure. Ok NewTek, you got me :stumped:

I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet, so maybe that's why I don't get it? I don't see anything Viz related ... what am I missing?

Ahh Steve ... https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Order_66

Quoting from the site further down ...

"Order 66, also known as Clone Protocol 66, was a top secret order identifying all Jedi as traitors to the Galactic Republic and, therefore, subject to summary execution by the Grand Army of the Republic. The order was programmed into the Grand Army clone troopers through the control chips implanted in their brains, making it impossible for the clones to disobey the command to turn against their Jedi Generals ..."

Good one, NT - didn't realise this tech had other commercial uses as well :D

I bow to your superior knowledge of the Star Wars universe (as I slowly back away, maintaining a friendly smile and non-threatening eye contact while searching for convenient points of egress) ;)

Dear Brother - clearly, the Ways of the Farce are not strong with you.

Or, more correctly, "Strong with you the Ways of the Farce are not ..."

I actually got the reference first read. No one's a Star Wars fan it seems. lol *shrug*

I'm not big enough a fan to remember that number. I do recall that I already suspected that plot twist before Revenge of the Sith came out. It's hard to enjoy sequels when you've almost guessed what's going to happen next. :( Even Zack Snyder's plans for Justice League's original ending was predictable. I already suggested that idea as an excuse to introduce the Teen Titans (to replace the failed Justice League team).

Didn’t get it either, but I only enjoyed the original trilogy. Only saw episodes 1 to 3 once, found 1 and 2 awful and 3 decent. Not enough, this said, to revive my kid’s stars in the eyes when I first saw Star Wars (it was my very first time in a movie theatre).

i thought they missed a 6.

sadly, it seems that there are a lot of youngsters in the industry that have never seen sw or bladerunner or aliens...etc.. i find that perplexing considering they inspired so much fbx. sad.

I'm going to claim slight-of-tongue trickery, hehe.
For some reason my eyes went right by 'Order 66' and tried to riddle out what 'SML Kay's Chicken' or 'EFTPOS' had to do with Vizrt.
I was pretty sure 'Coke Zero' was just a Coke Zero but you never know.
