Does anyone know of a way with nodes of exluding one obeject from reflecting on one object?

In the attached image I want to keep all the relections except I do not want the sphere reflecting in the ground plane only.

The third part of your video is excellent and shows what I am after, but how could you adapt that to work with a BSDF material?

I would start from making fully invisible material in LW 2019, e.g. Standard Material with everything 0%, and Transparency 100%, and Refractive Index 1.0.
Then use Material Mixer or Switcher.
1st Material full transparent, 2nd BSDF,
and then work out trigger method.

Hi Sensei, I was looking at your Node Pack, but they seem to be different to the nodes in your second video?

I cannot seem to find anything that will trigger the two surfaces as you suggested, and was looking to buy your node pack and follow your video.

What was used in 3rd video? Extended Item Info, Extended Spot Info and Compare Integer? Yes, these nodes are in TrueArt's Node Library 2019, and hundred more, not mentioned on the web page.

It seems there is problem with it on LW 2019. Trying to figure out workaround ATM..
LW 2019 does not have this Source Item ID input in structure which is passed to node evaluation function.

I had noticed that, there seems to be a few missing items on the 2019 input node...

I managed it to make it work..

This setup seems to be working:

Ground plane has reflections. And in reflection there is only visible toroid object, and sphere is ignored, because Source Item ID is compared with Ground item. If they are equal, Clip is 1.0 and Material is ignored. But only by ground item. It's still visible in Toroid (if I set reflections on it).

Is that what you wanted?

But it is gone from either reflections and shadows this way..
Is it important.. ?
Ray Type should theoretically contain information whether ray is reflection, refraction, shadow etc.
So there is needed additional logic node to filter it out.

Ok. I made new node Bitfield for extracting single bits from integer.
Bit 0 seems to be responsible for shadows.
Shadows are rendered as well there is no reflection of Sphere on ground object.

..and it's implemented as clipping.. so it should be much faster than previous implementation using transparent fake material..
