You know, I always waited for the right moment to share with you that your avatar keeps reminding me of this Amiga game every single time I see a post of yours:

As someone very new to this forum, that's very impressive. Actually, I am also impressed by your You Tube channel too and all the videos you've been making there. For me, learning 3D has been a challenge and only in the last year have I set aside the time to really get it into it. And with LW, I've had to beg, borrow, and nearly steal to get a well-rounded and comprehensive introduction to it. And now with 2019, I'm falling back a little because I was still learning other things. But any way, I do appreciate this forum and those committed to sharing their knowledge. It really helps the new people.

I'm quoting myself because I am really curious about you erikals! What gives? Who are you and how in the world can you post so often and create all those YouTube videos about LW? You seem to know your LW inside and out and your videos always intrigue the heck out of me, but I have never ever seen any finished work so I wonder if you are a uber hobbyist, professional LW user, orthopedic doctor or CEO of some fortune 500 company. Please give the lowdown, a little BIO if you will. You are deserving of some LW fame!

I actually enjoyed following his tutorial on making a banana.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ka3EfVuC_VE

After a few hours of trying to deconstruct scene files, I find it relaxing.

Interestingly, in the book Inside Lightwave v9, the basic steps are explained in 23 pages and in erikals video, he shows it in five minutes. So I guess there is something to be said for video tutorials.

Hi all!

Thank you for replies, and sorry for replying a bit late here.
super-busy days and hard work, even weekends fill up.
right now i'm trying to automate some monthly time-sheets in Excel.
agh, what a drag, learning Excel, but hopefully it can come to use later.

i guess that says a lot about me, not so much of a social life, but rather
always trying to improve workflows. OCD? who cares :)

but really need to log off now, get some sleep.

hm, hard to answer, LightWave is just one of several areas of interest, so, well, hard to put into a category.
but everything that has to do with fantasy, art, science, aid, improvement ++ is pursued and of interest. in that order. ;)
hopefully i will cash in on the "secret projects" one day.. ?
