I know I saw a check box for virtual memory controls but now that I am searching for it I cannot find the dang thing again. suddenly my layout is lagging and I know it has to do with this control. can anyone tell me where to find that info again?

?
There is no virtual memory setting in LW, or are you talking about Windows? But you really can't load any scene that doesn't fit in you physcal memory...well maybe load but move the viewports like every two minutes :D

Only memory setting LW has is the segment buffer (camera options) but that's only for rendering, you can specify how big it is allowed to be. But it's really not wise to set it larger than your physical RAM...(if it is possible at all)

There is a VM enable/disable setting in LW via the timeline preview control options. Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but it is a VMem setting within LW.
