Two items to make life a little easier...
'New Posts' Hint: For those of you who use (or would like to use) the "View New Posts" feature found on the NewTek Discussions (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/index.php?s= ) main page, I just wanted to remind you that there is a way to restrict it to 'View New Posts in VT3 Forums (http://vbulletin.newtek.com/search.php?s=&action=getnew&forumid=33)', even though it is undocumented.

I have placed a shortcut to it on my links bar and quick launch bar and use it daily.

The url text to use is:
http://vbulletin.newtek.com/search.php?s=&action=getnew&forumid=33

Firebird: I have been hearing lots of people (including the entire TechTV staff) go on about how great this browser is. Well, I finally tried it and it is great. Check it out, you won't regret it. You can install and run it along side IE, no problems. It does so many things better and faster and has lots of 'extensions' but the biggest thing for most is Tabbed browsing (tip: Cntl-Click). You will never go back once you have tried it.

There you go, two New Year's gifts, just for you...

It has been a couple of weeks and I have been using Firebird at home and work. It is really sweet. There are a few things you have to learn about it to get the full potential out of it, but it is strongly supported by a huge web community and is Open Source so cool features are created all the time. I have installed a bunch of the Extensions and now it can do everything I have ever dreamed of a browser doing.

Here is my list of
Extensions (http://texturizer.net/firebird/extensions/) and Add-ons installed:

AiRoboForm-Netscape-Adapter.exe (http://www.roboform.com/manual.html#browser_nn6)
All-in-One Gestures: allinonegestlatest.xpi
Calendar: calendar_windows_1.5_20040109.xpi with USHolidays.ics
Compact Menu: compact.xpi
Copy Image: copyimage.xpi
CuteMenus: cutemenus03.xpi
DictionarySearch: dictionarysearch_0.1.xpi
IE View: ieview_0_6.xpi
Tabbrowser Extensions: tabextensions_en.xpi
Tabbrowser Preferences: tabprefs_0.4.xpi
Things They Left Out: ttlo2.xpi
Google Bar: XPI-stable.xpi

Besides the awesomeness of Tabbed browsing, the next best thing is Gestures. You can open or close a new window or tab, go forward or backward, open a list of links into tabs (i.e. - View New Posts in VT above), etc. all with a gesture of the mouse. Right Click and drag through the list and they all load each in their own tab. Read one, stroke down and it closes, so you can read the next and the next. Sweet! You can define your own gestures as well.

Of all the extensions, be sure you install AllInOneGestures, TabPreferences and TabExtensions. And you may have noticed that Roboform has a utility that makes it work as well. And one of those up there is the Google Toolbar!

The only negative I have found is on this forum, the Vbulletin Reply screen is a little slow and the reply window is a little narrow. But not too bad...

Have fun...
