Hi,

I created Glycon for my own games and short movies. Since I'm turning it into a commercial product though, I'd like to get your thoughts on it, and what I could add that would help you with your own animations!

This is an awesome development and I'm having fun experimenting with it. Unfortunately, working with fbx files is not my strongest area, and I was just curious on the workflow when importing the mocap data into LW. I have a Maximo T pose set up and I import the Glycon fbx files as a scene item, I select to import as LW joints, then Merge Only Motion Envelopes, and it seems to collapse my model. This is an error on my part, I'm sure, but just don't know which step I'm missing. I can import the fbx alone and see it animating perfectly. Any suggestions appreciated. And thank you for creating this. I think it has tremendous potential.

That's a really good question. I need to massage this a bit and see if I can create a really simple workflow.

Thanks! My mind is spinning with possibilities about using it.

Had some time to play around with this and finally got it working. Still have to tighten a few things up.

Key parts are:

1) After you import the Glycon mocap data as an fbx file, you have to scale the scene, then save that file as a LW scene.

2) After you clear the scene, and import the Mixamo rig preferably in T-pose, you have to turn off Scale Scene.

and

3) When you load in the Glycon LW scene file, choose Load From Scene, the Merge Only Motion Envelopes. And it should work.

Rebel Hill deserves a lot of credit for his excellent tutorials on using LW and FBX. I wouldn't have been able to figure it out without watching his videos!

I'm really excited about using Glycon and seeing just how far it can go. It is fascinating to me how much lower body movement is also captured.

I'm adding a new tool to the mix, which will be available on iOS and Droid app stores shortly.

Holy Crap! That's pretty awesome. I gotta look more into all this Chilton! Can you make an app to give me more time in the day?

If you still need WMR testing we have a couple of those. And about Point Storm I wish you had released it last spring, I would have used it for a job for sure.

It's one of my life goals. I hope to figure it out before I die :D

Yeah, I need to wrap up the WMR code and get it out there. I'll let you know!
