View Full Version : Lw to Substance Painter and back

I go a model (subpatched parts mostly) that i exported to substance painter in order to paint it. After I exported it and painted it (got it in painter in low rez, non subpatched), i sent it back to LW, but i got stretchy looking texturing, as if the uv map was in linear whereas the model in subpatch. and even by switching the interpolation it does not solve the problem.
How do you work in this workflow?

Does i need to freeze the geometry before exporting?

A couple of questions will help nail down the possible cause: Can you give us a clear rundown of your workflow? How are you exporing your models for import into Substance? OBJ or FBX? What options for either are you using on export? Can you post a screenshot of modeler showing the object and it's UVs and the resulting texture? What kind of stretching are you exhibiting?
