Anyone hoping for this ? How hard is it to do this ?

Don't know what you're asking for.... Unreal's actual viewport in LW or you just want the ability to see realtime PBR shading, environment lighting, etc... with all of the post processing effects that Unreal uses?

In either case, no that will never happen in LW.

I would look at Blender's Eevee coming in version 2.8

Better bridge to unreal, sure. Better OpenGL in future versions of LW, sure... Unreal inside LW.. Nope, not going to happen in any near future. Unreal doesn't allow for that kind of thing. Several tools have better Ogl than LW, including Modo's PBR opengl viewport, Maya, and the upcoming EeVee in blender. Hopefully there's improved viewport performance and rendering in future versions, but LW's team is small, so don't expect miracles, as there's a lot of other things to develop!

Impossible request ... the best they have allowed is the unreal bridge for modo

Another option is Armory3D, a game engine that runs inside Blender. Node-based scripting too. It's free now since they got enough patrons.
