not sure, i'd think that rig would be pain to set up in any package.

I really want to believe you could set this up in LW but I think you might be right. What an amazing piece of work.

I certainly could not, and it would be great to hear an opinion from RebelHill on this. But bear in mind that, despite what you see, Maya users are overwhelmingly not able to achieve it either as some very serious specialists were put to work there. I once communicated with Craig about some impressive work by Maya rigger Stefan Ehrenhaus (https://www.youtube.com/user/AdeptusSteve/videos) and if it could possibly be achieved in LW. His response - "Sure, why not ?" :D

But one has the goal first, then works backwards exactly how to solve the (very difficult !) problem, rather than saying, "Hey, I think I'll do some really cool rigging today", yet that is exactly the impression it can give to a different pair of eyes who was not faced with the original problem. :)

Sure, but I think it will be even more pain in LW.

the most difficult part is the Mouth area...
can it be done? yep.
CA in LightWave is way more powerful than most think.

could make an attempt to make a similar rig to MindBender, however, got other things to do.
a CageDeformer would be needed to come anywhere close.
for arms/legs one would use bones with raycast > https://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?150053
and, it would take a rigger weeks.

not many professional LightWave riggers around though.
cause > not many LightWave users around.
cause > LightWave development hibernation, however, seems LW is waking up, finally.

anyway, a totally impressive Rig, must say.
