View Full Version : Transparent planes in Fog issue???

I got a model with a variety of trees and shrubbery built in ye ole transparency masks on planes fashion. They look pretty decent.

But, we want a kind of stylistic white for environment thing going on, and once a put a fog in there, the formerly invisible parts of the planes making up the trees go to sheit.

Is there a way around this?

Feed your transparency textures into clip maps instead. If you're using 2015+ you can just redirect the texture node in the node editor, then you won't get this artefact. You of course shouldn't get it, and it may be a bug, but clip maps don't suffer from this.
