View Full Version : Dante Audio Input Clock Issue

I have what I believe is a Dante audio clock issue, but I'm not sure how to solve it, and I wonder if anyone else has run into it. I installed Dante Virtual Soundcard into my AE Tricaster. Everything appears to working well...the Dante inputs show up in the audio input dropdown...but I don't get any of the audio assigned to them.

However, in Dante Controller (running on another machine), it shows the Tricaster as "Listening" instead of Master or Slave and the box shows up as red in the sync. The machine is definitely on the network and viewable or it wouldn't show up in Controller, but I can't figure out how to make it sync up with the clock. None of my other Dante devices seem to have the issue.

Dante Virtual Soundcard requires a hardware Dante clock to be running somewhere on the network. If you do not have a hardware device providing a Dante clock it will not work.

Dante Via can generate a clock signal without hardware, if you're in need!

Via can work but generally, we recommend a hardware clock.
