No you donŽt have to uninstall 2015.

Normally though, using both 2015 ..And 2018 at the same time may cause issues, just like if youŽd use lighwave 10 and 2015 at the same time, and closing ..depending on it may cause overwritten configs, I am not sure if that is exactly the same with 2018 or not.

So to be on the safe side, close 2015 before starting up 2018 and vice versa.

found this in the docs:

The installation program will not delete any existing objects, scenes, or images on your system unless an existing item has the same name and is in the same directory as an item that LightWave 2015 installs. For this reason, you should install LightWave 2018 in a new directory.

but then the installer says "don't install over previous versions", so maybe just referring to choosing new repository.

ok thanks prometheus.

By default I think lightwave will automaticly set a installation directory path to 2018, so you shouldnŽt worry about that, unless you yourself by any weird reason find it funny to install 2018 in the same directory as 2015:)

Another thing to be aware of......
If you open a 2015 scene file in 2018, it will convert it.
Make sure you either create a backup of the 2015 scene file or select the create backup from the dialog that pops up (personally I don’t trust software to do this for me, so manually duplicate the relevant folder if necessary).
