Hello forum people,

I'm including an image that is important here. I'm trying to put together a multi-part item. The part I'm working on now is fairly simple until I get to one part. On top of the item there are holes and slots. 2 of these are endented into the part so that there is a beveled edge around the sides of the hole or slot. That's the part I'm having trouble with. I think I saw a solution to it before but I can't remember. There is so much to remember with LW that unless I do the same task over and over again, I lose it temporarily. I've included a photo of the actual part and of the model for comparison. Thanks for any help!

as you can see, a quick and simple way to do such a thing is to 'template drill - slice' (or whatever shape you wish) a disc onto that top poly, then slowly bevel the poly downwards, shaping that rounded edge:

DK,

that is so cool!! I think I remember something like that somewhere. But I've never used that before. I'll try to use it and post another image later. I'll work on it this weekend. Do I need to start again without holes? And only use polys on the surface? I'll try both ways.

thanks again!!
