So the only issue I have so far coming from Maya is the perspective viewport in modeler. I tried looking for an answer but didn't see any. Here is my question

Is there a way to frame the viewport to a selection. For example if I have a polygon selected on a huge model and want to zoom in on it and rotate around that section of my model as a pivot point is that possible in modeler?

3. When I get close to objects part of the model disappears (is this a bug?)

Thanks in advance.

best,

Ilan

Yes, if you have selected a polygon press shift+a (unless you messed with shortcuts). Now you can orbit around that polygon in perspective view. Regarding your last question, you don't want to zoom in too much but you will get used to shift+a quickly which solves the issue.

also just pressing A lets you go back to the whole model so you can quickly zoom in and out on whats selected and whats not

Welcome to the gang! For me, I make some changes to the prefs specifically for Modeler's Perspective viewport:

Hi, folks. I have another viewport question: In LW2015, how do I reframe the viweports so that the XY, YZ and ZX (or whatever they are) origins are centered? A minor issue, but it's driving me crazy.
