Hey everybody,

I've been diving into Blender's hair creation tools for making my own hair styles for my characters. Using that, I can create the style I like, import it into Lightwave as an OBJ, and use it with FiberFx to make hair. If I want the hair to be dynamic, it's either ClothFx or Bullet.

I've tried ClothFx and it has its good and bad points, but I'd like to try Bullet. I understand in order to anchor the roots of the hair to the scalp or skin surface, we need to use a weight map.

What's the best way to paint a weight map onto a hair object so it can be used with Bullet?

Thanks,

The weight outward script is probably the easiest.

I used weight blur; I set my roots to 100%, tips to <10%, then selected from the tips on up to the roots, and applied weight blur to it with like 16 Iterations.

Thanks Kryslin,

I've tried both, but neither seem to be doing the job. Not sure it I'm making some mistake or with the plugins or with bullet.

I'll keep trying.
