Yo,

Apologies if I've put this topic in the wrong forum, since I can't seem to see a programming-related forum

Currently, I've been looking at the lwo and lws file formats, as I am converting animated meshes to my own format. The documentation is a bit sketchy on the area of bones, so I'd like to ask a few questions about the format.

I've also attached a output file from my dumper (I left in the chunks I don't understand) to make things easier.

1) In the TAGS chunk of the format, I can see co-ordinates for the first 26 tags. How are these related to the vertices? Are they the bone positions?

2) Later in the file, I see a line 'PTAG[212] BNUP' and lower down 'PTAG[212] BONE'. The documentation doesn't seem to mention any types of PTAG like that, so are these related to the above question?

3) Another thing I'm puzzled about is the 'POLS [316] BONE' chunk. Is that another weightmap?

Thanks in advance for any help :)
