Hi!

Just wondering who is planning to attend MacWorld in San Francisco, January 6-9 2004?

Thanks! :)

Gonna follow the Live-stream! 9000 km of travel is a bit to much for a Macworld-expo..

BUT: Is it because You guys have got anything to do with it?? Is Newtek gonna steel the show on stage, alongside with Steve?

Boy oh boy I would like that...

I finally know somebody up north who I can stay with so I'll probably be going. My first macworld... I haven't gone to specific computer platform show since the Amiga days... And I remember those getting smaller and smaller....

Chuck, if you or proton are at macworld, it would be like a second christmas....

They type of coverage on that even gaurentees an amzing amount of exposure...

Yes. My personal business has been slow this last six months, and when they called me about a p/t job, how could I say no?

As I mentioned, I should be there the week of Macworld, and if new products are announced as available, we should have them in the store if Apple is selling them in the retail stores...

I won't be going, but if there is going to be a video stream I hope that it's not something that only Windows can see!!

Thanks,
Nor

I find that if buffers video poorly..... It seems to cut out and fails to rebuffer...

Maybe these are hints that LW8 will be released on Jan 6, at MacWorld.

Ah... I'm just adding fuel to the fire.

It would seem so or maybe right before.
It would be cool to see LW on the stage at Macworld.
That would mean they are getting serious about bringing the Mac version up to par with the PC version.

Cheers,
JS

We've always been serious about keeping parity in features and performance between the platforms - we did have an issue that kept a few of our plugins out of OS X for a while but that was addressed some time ago.

At MacWorld we will have a press suite in the SF Marriott, and William will be there with other NewTek staff giving press one-on-one demos and Q & A on LightWave 3D 8. My query on who is attending is because we will also have a small reception for users on Tuesday at 4:00 PM. Space is very limited, but we do still have a few spaces available, so contact me if you'd like to attend.

Chuck,

Why does Newtek always think on such a small scale?

Get up on stage with Steve Jobs and show the world what you got.

The first 64 bit 3D program for a desktop machine.

Come on don't be shy get up there. :D

Knock Brad off the stage and let it loose boy. :D

Cheers,
JS

They did once and it was a huge success..
It was when Steve announced dual g4's for the first time, if I remember correctly the Lightwave demo was some sort of dinosaur showing off the threading for duals.. or was it some sort of helicopter as well?....

What I say is there are no 3D apps out right now worth giving a toss about to announce at macworld...EXCEPT LW8!

Chuck I live in australia like Riki, so I cannot attand, BUT will be watching the stream as soon as possible.

Chuck, I'll be at MacWorld, and may be able to attend reception (got a 4pm mtg, but it should be short).
