Am I missing a step? I am trying to create a correct weight Map for each bone in a finger.


Modeler....

There are 3 bones in the finger
I create a weight map for each bone. Each map is 100% and sufficient to cover its assigned bone plus a 1/3 extra to ease the fall off.

Layout....

In the "bones properties" the bones/weightmaps are correctly assigned.
I can rotate each bone but the surface/polys break VERY easily.


This problem does not exist if I select the whole finger/surface as a map for each bone.
