Microsoft has officially ended production of their Kinect device. I haven't tried Nevron Motion yet with Lightwave because reviews make it sound dodgy. But does this mean the price could go down? Will it become a novelty or an embarrassing antique?

Yeah unfortunately, the Kinect is discontinued.

I have used Nevron once or twice, it works ok with the sample scene but to retarget / bind to another character is a hassle for me.

NewTek should have included (and updated) common rig types (DAZ, anima, Mixamo, AD, Rhiggit), then it would have been a great solution. The product only got one update so far if I'm not mistaken.

As I don't use Genoma but Rhiggit and DAZ I could never properly use it.

Brekel works much easier but is also not updated since long.

For LW3DG to ask for money for Nevron today is absurd to me, I guess if you ask them and have a LW2015 license they should give it to you for free.
