View Full Version : Nodal specular shading question

I have a figure and it came with 6 specular mattes, I cannot see how I can use them all.

Whether this is the right or wrong way I have no idea, but what I have done is:-

137960

Unfortunately there are not enough inputs to the mixer node to add the remaining mattes!

I hope someone will be able to point me in the right directions?

Cheers

Use vector add.

Ok, I'll give that a go, as you might have gathered I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to nodes!

Vector Add - I don't see it in the node list...

But do I need to do any conversion as I am plugin a blue output into a red input.

I have tried it and it seems to work, just querying if this is the correct way...

Would plugging one into another's bgcolour and setting the blending mode to whatever the equivalent of photoshop's 'screen' achieve the same thing?

Well that video was just what I needed, thanks for posting it :-)

Remember there's a SEARCH function in the node list.

It's easy to forget.
