Seriously, who are the marketing people and the people in charge of the blog for Newtek? Do they exist?
They're like the people who made the new Inhumans real live action film.

Yeah it's a tragedy. What's so special in the alembic import in Marmoset Toolbag? I'm sure Marmoset would also support fbx or obj import. By the way it seems Lino has only about 2-3 models to use, we've seen that like two years ago.

Instead they should state some facts about the LWNext Alembic implementation, for example does it:

- support subframe interpolation
- support point attributes like velocity and others
- provide LOD information
- support the latest Alembic sdk

If not, it's an outdated crap implementation.

and you can rest assured that it is going to be exactly that.

LWNEXT only works with reptiles models, maybe they try to tell us it's the reptilians to blame for all this....

The DOF and chromatic aberrations looks great tho....

When LW Next is finally released there are people who will be very happy, others who may disappointed that their exact areas of workflow were not so addressed (say, character animators for pure example), but some who will automatically declare LW Next rubbish regardless of what it is actually like because that is what they wanted to do all along (not aimed specifically at anyone above). Lino on Facebook can't be all things to all people. He is an artist too and just showing some enthusiasm.

I am genuinely glad Lino posted that on facebook.
But why don't they post on the blog?? Couldn't be bothered?
The only thing I can think of is the blog was Rob's idea but he's out. So no blog posts anymore. It could be medical issues. Whatever.
We have not heard from him in months and no blog posts. But other NT people have posted about lightwave next from time to time.
