In the old days we use a frame-buffer board to see our final render on a broadcast monitor. Is there a plugin for Lightwave 2015 to render out to the output of Blackmagic Design video capture cards ?

The only systems I know of that have something like that, are by Matrox. Certainly their X.100 and Axio lines had that feature with LW. Presumably their newer boards do too.

Those Matrox cards are ancient now and they were a pain to work with, always buggy, unstable and gets crazily hot.

Doesn't any 3D folk want a separate render-view these days ? Heck I would love to have a full-view VPR
on my external monitor anytime.

My guess would be that everything non-realtime now goes through post production to some extent so there is very little market need to see a direct output from a 3d package on a broadcast monitor.
