Hi

I wondered if people have had any success with getting rigged, animated characters from Lightwave into Blender? I've had no end of issue with Blenders standard FBX importer. Mostly "<unknown location>:-1" errors but have had much better luck with the BOS fbx importer for Blender, but sadly this doesn't import animation as of yet. I'd be keen to hear others experience! Thanks.

Thanks! I bought your training series a few days ago :) Very useful. The MDD technique mention is also really handy. The ultimate output will be for an online 3D asset built using the 'three.js' javascript libraries. Blender seems to have the best .json exporter option. Because of this the animation need to be retained in the Bones. I guess I'm hoping the BOS importer gets an update for animation as it seems to work very well in every other regard.

Ok great, I'm sure an addon or update is in the works.
