Is there any way to perform standard beveling operations, but instead of specifying a set distance for the inset and offset, you could specify a percentage? That way smaller polys would bevel the same as big ones, relatively speaking | instead of going all catty-whompus...

no, not as far as i recall.

it might be possible somehow using Layout (maybe partmove / polymove)

Blenders bevel modifier has a width method that you can set to percentage mode.

oh if it doesn't then just throw the obj there, do the biz and throw it back. problem solved.

i'd use copy paste external. it's great with modo. i imagine the same with blender.
