Seems like Altus has fallen to the rise of the machines. Even tho it used available AOV's it always seemed way too involved from my pov so this is a very welcome development.
Why choose such crazy noise on the base frame tho and then the miss-match for comparison ? I'm sure we will know more soon.

Also wondering if noise profile learning from one app/engine could possibly be be used for another ? Probably too much to ask.

Dpont DeNoiser does something not too dissimilar to this, so it should be possible to use as a plugin as far as i can see.

i just hope to get a hold of this inside Octane Render Engine >soon<... :)

yes, hope to see a more viable example shortly.

Has anyon had any good results with DuPont denoiser and if so would they have a good example of a set of settings to use for optimal render times/quality output.

Impressive!! Some obvious interpolation artifacts, but still impressive. Especially for setting up very complex scenes and wanting to get back some quick results before committing to higher sampled final renders (which then could possibly benefit from this even at 5000 passes). It will be interesting to see if this is usable for animation or just stills. I imagine there might be some flicker when animating these cleaned up frames, but as I am no expert, this is only conjecture.
