Looks nice, but would like to see the assets as pure obj/normalmap downloads, without adding an additional application/plugin.

Agreed, i would just like to see the assets and download as FBX/OBJ with mapping.

Thanks Asticles, erikals and JohnMarchant for the comments.

erikals and JohnMarchant, that is exactly what we proposed in Wireshape. Thank you for the opportunity to make this clearer:

No additional plugin/application is required to download or use the assets.

At this stage of private beta we are looking for testers for our online stock functionality as well as for the 3D models. The files will be available for simple download in standard industry formats, including obj, fbx, ztl with subdivision levels and color/displacement/normal maps.

Ready for use distribution standards:

That looks very interesting. I hope those textures are done using exr? (Or some other high definition format) (Also I sent a request mail)

Thanks MichaelT!

We have adopted as standard for ED distribution textures in .tiff file format. For RT distribution, textures in .tga file format. Note that in ED we provide a high definition and multiple sub levels mesh in .ztl file, where you can generate/export texture maps in several formats and bit range as well as mesh resolutions. This enhances the flexibility for each situation.

It's good to have you on board!
