Greetings all!

Yes I'm a newbie!
I'm basically going through the book "Essential Lightwave 3D 7.5" by Timothy Albee, great book! Anyway I'm having a problem surfacing some letting. When I try to 'SET INITIAL COLOR' lightwave tells me 'Control is Diabled' can anyone tell me why?
I think I've got the lettering selected to be surfaced can't really tell.

I'm using an iBook
CPU Type: PowerPC 750 (22.15)
Nuber of PCU's1
CPU Speed: 500MHZ
L2 Cache 256KB
Memory 256MB

It sounds as if you're trying to change the color when creating a new surface. Don't need to. Once the surface is named go to the Surface panel and you can change the surface to what you want there. BTW when you create a surface you may want to turn off Default checkbox. I think this should be turned off as default.
