Where can I go to find info on NDI? How it works, how it is setup and equipment that works with NDI? Thanks.

I would start by downloading and installing the NDI tools pack. It includes some great documentation to get you started with NDI.

Yes, NDI tools are completely free. For all things NDI visit https://www.newtek.com/ndi/.

I understand I will need a router of some sort, are there any recommendations for that? The newer the better I'm sure to be closer to today's standards. Also a gig router would be a must. If I'm trying to do multiple cameras for a football game or basketball game, what kind of cameras would I need?

Actually what you need is a switch, a 1GigE switch at a minimum. For a small setup with a few clients even a cheap off the shelf switch will probably be fine. If you are looking to setup a larger studio, I would invest in a business class switch.

Where can I find a diagram or something like that to show how a typical setup with a couple of cameras would hook up to this?
